OUR MASSAGE THERAPISTS
Adam Sharp, has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2012, after graduating from Cortiva Institute. The majority of his career has been spent working in a physician led clinical setting, with most of his continuing education being in Myofascial release. Adam’s sessions are therapeutic and combine Swedish, Trigger point release, Myofascial work, crossfiber friction, and sports massage techniques. He believes bodywork is not a luxury, it is a therapeutic tool in ones’ self care routine. Whether you are dealing with acute or chronic injuries, looking to support soft tissue recovery for your workouts, or need to minimize the effects of stress on mind and body, Adam recommends regular massage. In his spare time, Adam enjoys hiking, cooking, and practicing martial arts.
Amanda Kijak, received her license in massage therapy in Virginia in 2018 where she attended the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage before moving back to her home state of Pennsylvania in 2019. Before massage school, she attended Temple University where she double majored in Media Production and Theater and minored in Entrepreneurship. Amanda uses a variety of techniques in her practice, combining Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, muscle energy techniques, trigger point work, and thermotherapy to provide the most therapeutic and beneficial massage possible. She believes firmly in treating “the whole picture” and educating clients on ways they can better care for themselves at home and at work. Amanda also works in live events and theatrical productions where she is a stage manager and technician. In her spare time she enjoys traveling (16 countries so far!), crafting, and catching up on her Netflix addiction.
For a Standard Massage, you may request one modality or any combination of the above mentioned modalities which will be advised during your scheduled visit. So, you do not need to pick out the modality beforehand, but rather have a goal in mind of how you would like to feel after your session and communicate it to your therapist.
We also offer Hot Stone Massage where the therapist uses smooth, heated stones as an extension of their own hands, actively incorporating them into the massage. The heat can be deeply relaxing and help warm up tight muscles, so the therapist can work more deeply, more quickly.
